Second garment, shell blouse with ruffle collar, finished...

Basic bodice block with darts adjusted and lengthened from the waist...

Use a selection of vintage glass buttons...

Slash and spread the sleeve block to add volume...

Exaggerate the sleeve head...

Widen the middle section to balance with the top and taper the lower cuff section...

This pattern will form the style of the leg of mutton sleeve much favoured in the 1890s and revived in the 1930s...

The other sleeve has been constructed in a similar manner but with volume at the cuff in a bell or lantern shape...
